INDIA IN SEVEN DAYS
COMPLETE PLAN OF NEW EMPIRE AIR ROUTE NEW TIME-TABLE SET British Official Wireless RUGBY, Sunday. The time-table for the new LondonTndia air mail, which is to fly over Central instead of Southern Europe, has been issued by Imperial Airways, Limited. The mails will be carried across Central Europe to Uskub, Serbia, and then will catch the night train to Salonika, whence they will be flown to Alexandria In a single day. Afterward they will follow the old route via Bagdad and the Persian Gulf to India, which will be reached seven days after leaving London. It is recalled that exactly 100 years ago news was received in England that the East India Company’s ship Marquess of Wellington, had created a record by reaching India in 91 days after leaving England.
