S U RPRISE PART Y On Thursday evening a jolly surprise party, organised by Miss Kath and Mr. lan Oliver, visited the home of Mr. Cecil Bryant, at Tauwhare. A happy time was spent in dancing. PARTY AT NGARUAWAHIA Aliss Birch, an Auckland visitor to Ngaruawuhia, was the guest of honour at a delightful afternoon party given by her hostess, Airs. B. McKoown. Mrs. McKeown received the guests in a frock of beige crepe de chine and lace. Aliss Birch was wearing a lemon flowered crepe de chine frock. Clock golf gave much entertainment, the competition being won by Mrs Pettit. Airs. Grant won the consolation prize. Indoor compettitions were won by Airs. Isdale and Aliss Birch, Mrs. Welch and Mrs. Feeney. Songs and music were given by Airs.

Barrowclough, and the hostel boarders, gave a delightful tennis party for the old girls of the school. The hall was gay with gold and blue streamers, ferns and balloons. The hostesses were Airs. Alunro, wearing a frock of floral georgette; Airs. Weatherley, in a frock of black georgette and lace.
