NORTHCOTE PARTY
BRIDE-TO-BE HONOURED On Thursday evening Mrs. H. Shaw and Mrs. J. Cooper entertained at Mrs. Shaw’s residence, Vincent Road, Northcote, a large number of friends of Miss Rita Hurly, whose marriage to Air. A. IT. Bradbourne takes place early in April. Varied and useful gifts were presented to the bride-to-be. White Michaelmas daisies and autumn-tinted flowers were used in ! the decoration of the rooms and supper I tables. ! Competitions and cards, interspersed j with musical items, passed an enjoyable evening. To receive their guests, Mrs. Shaw wore a frock of flame rayon, and Mrs. ! L Cooper was frocked in fawn crepe jde chine. The guest of honour wore j a frock of rose georgette. Among those present were: Mrs. G. H. Bradbourne, in beige marocain; Mrs. E. Gunman, rose satin beaute; Mrs. Alf! Hurley, jun„ black satin, flared uneven hemline, with pleated trimmings; Mrs. . Taylor, blue crepe de chine jumper suit; Mrs. A. Hurley, black lace and georgette; Miss Ritchie, pink georgette, pink shawl: Miss X. Boyd, floral crepe do chine: Mrs. A. Stilwell, grey crepe de chine, with rose trimmings; Mrs. J Whitlibridge, black satin beaute, relieved with ecru lace, Spanish shawl; Miss D. Y . Grenfell, red panne velvet, gold trimmings; Miss F. C. Sutherland, blue silk floral crepe de nile, uneven hemline; Mrs. E. Stilwell, black satin beaute. trimmed with beige ninon; A[lrs. YV. Hurley, floral silk frock; Airs. T. Boyd, ravenswing blue crepe de chine; Mrs. G. Hart, floral frock; Mrs. A. Millar, moonlight blue ninon, with silver; Mrs. B. Hurley, almond green crepe de chine, with beige trimmings; Miss Bethy Richards, mauve silk, forget-me-not trimming; Miss Patricia Hurley, dark blue, with georgette lact; Miss Rata Shaw, salmon taffeta, with lace trimming Hurley, peach chenille and crepe de chine: Miss M. Hurlev, floral georgette and satin: Airs. I. Richards, 1 figured crepe de chine, scarf to match* . Mrs. P. YY’. Grenfell, black crepe de j chine and shawl; Miss E.
