Mae Murray, who is well known to Auckland audiences for her work in a number of successful productions, in- ; eluding “The Merry Widow.” has the leading role in “Peacock Alley.” which j is now at the Crystal Palace Theatre. : Mount Eden Road. ' The story deals with society life in America, a feature of interest being I the introduction of special colour effects. Vocal and dance numbers have been cleverly interwoven into the story. Good supporting features will also be shown.
The Tivoli Theatre. Karangahape Road, is showing “Live. Love and Laugh,” George Jessel’s great talking and singing picture from the Civic, and “Darkened Rooms,” a talkie based on the Philip Gibbs' novel, starring Evelyn Brent and Xeil Hamilton.
