ROXY

NEW PICTURES TOMORROW Large crowds were present at all sessions at the Roxy Theatre yesterday to see the interesting film record of the Sarron-Donovan fight. This film takes less than SO minutes to screen and is remarkably clear. The remainder of the programme at the Roxy, which will have its final screening today, includes a Metrotone Xews, two or three talkie items, and | the big talking and singing film of fashions entitled ‘-Peacock Alley.” This stars beautiful Mae Murray and is a gorgeously produced film, partly in technicolour. From tomorrow the Roxy will present an entirely new programme of talkie items, headed by a special attraction entitled “Mexacali Rose.” This is a drama revealing the life of a famous woman gambler, and stars Bar- ; bara Stanwyck and Sam Hardy.
