PICNIC BY AIRPLANE
OUTING TO RUSSELL AERO CLUB ARRANGEMENTS The Dominion’s first aerial has been arranged for Sunday, April 13. when the Auckland Aero Club’s machines and visiting planes, which will be in Auckland after taking part in the pageant of the previous day. will visit Russell. Machines ar«> expected to be able to tiy North in about one and a-half hours, and the double trip will be made in the one day. About 20 airplanes are expected to take part in the pageant, which win be held at the Mangere airdrome. These will include the two Fairey 1111 amphibians <x£ tlie New Zealand Air Fore i which are stationed at the Hobsonville base. There will bt visiting machines from most of the aero clubs of the Dominion. Prize.-, won at the pageant will be presented at a cabaret par tv in the evening. The holding of both pageant and picnic will depend on weather conditions.
