PROPELLER DAMAGED

CITY OF LINCOLN IN DOCK Arriving this morning with a broken propeller, the steamer City of Lincoln was admitted to the Calliope Dock at 12.30 o’clock this afternoon. Tlie damage was discovered on March 15, and speed was immediately reduced to about eight knots. The vessel was then about IS miles this side of Pitcairn Island. Two new blades had been fitted at New York, but it was not known until the vessel docked whether it was one of these which had brokei Until the damage had been inspected in the dock it was impossible to say how long repairs would take. On completion of repair- work the City of Lincoln will berth at Prince’s Wharf to unload the local consignment of her New York cargo.
