ELLERSLIE SCHOOL FUNCTION
FUNDS FOR DENTAL CLINIC The EUerelie School grounds pres* ented an animated picture on Saturday afternoon and evening, when a Paddy's Market was held there to raise funds for the school dental clinic. Stalls, side-shows and amusements did a roaring trade and the fund was swelled by more than £IOO. The various stalls had been arranged in the shade of trees. Electricians under the direction of Air. Crosher had wired the whole of the grounds which were brilliantly lighted in the evening for dancing. Air. W. J. Jordan, AI.P.. opened the market, and liis speech was followed by a procession of decorated scooters, trollies, bicycles and prams. The ladies' committee under the leadership of Airs. "Walker, must be given a great deal of credit for the success of the function. The committee extends its tlianks to the Auckland Racing Club. Air. J. Morgan, and all those who grave donations. The stall-holders were.— Produce: Mesdames Nicholson, Stancliffe, Glenn, Hooker: afternoon tea, in charge of women school teachers, Alisses Goldsworthy, Ling, Wilson, Alunro, Daly, Frood. assisted by pupils of standard V and AI: grocery: Alescream and soft drinks: Alisses Joyce and Connie Howell and Aliss Pugh; toys: Alesdames Trebilcock and Bartlett; toilet requisites: Mesdames Bilchrist. Clark. Alurton: novelties: Airs. Hatton and Aliss Hunton: plain sewing: Alesdames Walker. O’Gorman, Pouncett, Page, Tongney and Aliss Smith: home cookery: Mrs. Thompson, Airs. Crosher, Aliss Thompson, Misses crosher; sweets: Alesdames Nicholson, Phaire, Dale Vugler: flowers: Mrs, Haigh, Aliss Miller; books: Airs. Bevin.
