AT DIXIELAND
Many Dancers Attend Cabaret POPULAR RENDEZVOUS Dixieland was very bright on Saturday evening, when a large number of dancers appeared to revel in the dance tunes played by Mr. Harry Xeilson and the popular Dixieland Band. The visiting Australian tennis players were present, with members of the Auckland Association and their wives. WITH THE OFFICIAL PARTY Mrs. E. Bartleet was wearing a gown of cameo pink satin beaute, appliqued with silver roses. Mrs. G. Brown had on a canton jade chiffon frock, with diamente relief. Mrs. P\ Yates chose palest flesh pink ai\d black georgette. Mrs. L. Swann’s distinctive gown was of ivory and black satin. Mrs. Horn was in a bouffant frock of peach sprigged taffeta. Mrs. PI. Clay chose larkspur blue and flowered ninon. Mrs. Campbell's frock was of pale begonia tinted chiffon. Miss Edna Gill’s frock was of hydrangea blue chiffon. Miss Leslie Roberton was in a picture frock of palest daffodil sprigged taffeta. Miss Margaret O’Connor had on ivory ring velvet and lace. Miss Kathleen O'Connor was in delnhinium blue satin beaute, with shoulder spray of natural flowers. Miss Edna Craig’s gown was of phlox pink net and lace. OTHERS PRESENT Mrs. J. Graham, who wore a frock of ciel blue georgette with silver lace and spray of pink roses. Mrs. O’Hara had chosen a of chartreuse green sequined georgette. Mrs. Potts was weairng a scarlet ring velvet frock with a black shawl. Mrs. Albert Neville was gowned in white georgette and silver sequins. Mrs. M. Eccles had on a frock of parchment shaded taffeta. Miss Gretta Heron was in green and black taffeta with a deep hem of tulle frills. Miss Nina "Wallace chose a frock of black .silk lace with hip swathings of satin and pink Spanish shawl. Miss Walker’s frock was of black net and georgette. Miss Harrison was f rocked in jade taffeta and georgette. Miss McConnell had on a leaf-green satin gown. Miss Friedlander was frocked m scarlet and floral ninon. Miss Molly Hutchings had chosen a gown of duchess blue sprigged taffeta with scallops in silver lace and pink and white posy. Miss Ruth Owen was in a frock of black satin and georgette with dark green hip bow. Miss J. Jenks was frocked in pink chenille georgette with diamente trimming and net frills edged with pink. Miss A. Jeriks chose a frock of white lace with hip swathings of blue taffeta. Miss Irvine’s frock was of black taffeta. Miss Prince had on white georgette with touches of silver. Miss Betty Jackson was in black lace with scarlet shoulder flower. Miss B. Scandrett had chosen a gown of leaf green georgette. Miss P. Mitchell was wearing a black georgette frock. . Miss Dell was in apricot georgette with taffeta frills and green shoudler spray. Miss E. Denize chose a frock of flame georgette embroidered in gold and black. Miss Gaffney's frock was of silver lace over pale pink satin, with pink spray of the corsage. Miss Stewart had on an ecru lace and pink satin frilled frock. Miss Sweeney was frocked m cyclamen chenille georgette.
