GOLDFIELDS STARS CHANGE HANDS From Our Oxen Coi'resposdent MORRINSVILLE, Today. Tho seventh match of the bowling season for the Goldfields Challenge Stars was played at Morrinsville on Saturday, the challenger being Waikino. After* the.hardest fought game of the series, Waikino won by 15' to 12. The rinks were:—Morrinsville: A. Yardley, T. Martin, S. H. Cornish and R. C. Branch (s); "Waikino: Hawthorne, Lewis, Keatley and Franklin (s). Tho only remaining challenge of the season is in the hands of the Matamata Club, which held the trophies at the opening of the season. An inter-club match was played in conjunction with tho Stars game, two other rinks from each club taking part. Morrinsville won on the aggregate by 4S points to 44. The other rinks (Morrinsville players being mentioned first) were:—McGregor, Donaldson, Meharry and W. Goodwin (s) 14, v. Simpson, Phillips, Olney and Meara (s) 21; Skinner, Soanes, Chapman and A. Needham (s) 22. v. Coverny, Wallis. Pascoe and Southberg (s) 8.
