JEKYLL AND HYDE

MAN MARRIES THRICE, BUT FORGETS IT AMAZING CASE IN ROME Reed. 9.5 a.m. LONDON, Sunday. A sensational case of dual personality, causing a man to marry three ■wives, is disclosed by Professor Lonfiglio of the Academie Lancisiana at Rome. Complete changes occurred at intervals of three and four years. A first man was an accomplished musician and patron of the arts, but suddenly he became avaricious and his interests turned to mathematics, while he was completely oblivious to previous occurrences. Thus this man served four years at the war. Then came a change in his personality. He found himself in Rome with no knowledge that he had joined the army, or that he had married a woman in Messina when a young man. Later he married in Naples, when a new personality enveloped him. Then, gaining a knowledge of his earlier marriage, the man went to Messina to seek his first wife and subsequently. took a third spouse in Rome, " where he was arrested and charged with bigamy. He was confined in a lunatic asylum. Now the facts of his double personality are disclosed, however, the authorities are compelled to order his release. On one occasion the man was certified dead, and was on the point of being buried when he returned to life.
