CARD AFTERNOON
FOR CROQUET CLUB FUNDS Mrs. R. H. Swinburn was hostess at an enjoyable card afternoon given at her home, Oliver Road, Point Chevalier, on Thursday afternoon in aid of the Halliburton Johnstone Croquet Club. The winners were:—Euchre, Mrs. Story and Mrs. Philpot; 500, Mrs. T\ McAneny and Mrs. Harkins. The guessing: competition was won by Mrs Oliver. To receive her guests Mrs. Swinburn wore a frock of apricot pailettc and silk georgette. Among those present:—Mrs. Bogne, Mrs. Brecken, Mrs. Hagan, Airs. McAneny, Airs. Neil, Miss Wilkinson, Aliss Easten, Airs. J. Erickson, Mrs. Dunn, ALrs. S. Crookbain, Mrs. Robinson, Airs. Harkins. Airs. Phillips, Airs. F. AlcAneny, Mrs. Oliver, Mrs. Snedden, Airs. Dawson, Airs. Walters, Airs. Grant (Alatakura), Airs. Stony, Airs. Wingar and Aliss Philpot.
