FINE FILMS AT GRAND
“The Girl in the Glass Cage.’’ a First National and Vitaplione all-talking production starring Loretta Young, and “The Land of the Silver Fox,” a Warner Brothers film in which Kin Tin Tin appears, comprise the splendid double- feature bill at the Grand Theatre. “The Land of the Silver Fox” is a drama of the snow country, Kin Tin Tin, being shown fighting for the life and happiness of a young fur?trader who saved him from the cruelties of a harsh master. An entertaining romance runs parallel with the story. Leading players taking part are Leila Hyams, John Miljan, Carroll Nye and Tom Santschi.
! The other picture centres round a girl who is employed as a cashier in the box-office of a theatre. Mi6S Young is “the girl in the glass cage,” placed there by her suspicious old uncle so that her conspicuos position would enable him to keep a constant watch over her. His action gives rise to unexpected developments.
