The Tainui’s cargo of Now Zealand apples is in excellent condition, and quality, Alfristons realising 14s to 15s; Worcesters and Gravenstein. 12s to 15s. The pears were over-ripe, and are unlikely to realise much. SYDNEY'S NEW LOAN " • Reed. 9.5 a.m. SYDNEY. Today. The State Treasurer, Mr. B. S. B. Stevens, views with satisfaction the flotation of the City of Sydney loan in Xew York. He points out the flotation of an external loan, however small. will relieve the loca^market, but the flotation of an external loan of any magnitude would seriously affect the balance against us.
