MILFORD PROTESTS AGAINST OLD METHOD TAKAPUNA COUNCIL’S OPTION A new dump ffor refuse at Milford is being; considered by ths Tabapuna Borough Council. Formerly the matter was dumped into a street opening in the drain.—, works at Milford, but this was tht subject of an indignant protest by a largre deputation at this week's meet ingr of the council. An offer has been made to the eoun. cil of an area of nine acres of countland, situated near the main road several miles beyond the borough boundary for use as a dump, and the counc: has taken an option over the property for two months, to ascertain the views of the Health Department, and the AVaitemata County Council Cr. J. A. Algie has given notice to move at the next meeting; that the resolution authorising the system which has caused such trouble to Milfort residents should be rescinded.
