BOY DROWNED IN DAM

ACCIDENT AT CHELSEA SUGAR WORKS MAN DIVES TO RESCUE A fatal drowning accident occurred at the Chelsea Sugarworks at 11 o’clock this morning, when William Moon, aged nine, fell into a dam at the works. THE boy was taking lunch to his father, Mr. William Moon, an employee of the Colonial Sugar Refining Company, when the accident occurred. Two or three men attempted a rescue, and Mr. Vic. Haoro succeeded in recovering the body from the bottom, and Dr. R. Dudding was called, but two hours’ effort at resuscitation were unavailing.
