LAUNCH AND YACHT RACES Harbour races for yachts and launches will be conducted by the Manukau Cruising (3|ub tomorrow’ afternoon. Yachts will start off their handicaps, Mark Foy system, the limit boat at 2.30 p.m. Launches will race under sealed handicaps, flying start, at 3.23 p.m., 10 minutes after the scratch yacht. Model yacht races and juvenile members’ championship swim will be held at 4 p.m. Yacht handicaps are as under: Aowa, on wind scr, off wind scr; Drone, 15m, scr; Champagne, 15m, 25m; Silvia, 3m. 3m; Daphne, 6m, sm; Sea Horse, 75m, 8m (no extras); Sea Gnome, 105 m, 8m; Nyria, 145 m, 8m: Wild Wave, 255 m, 12m: Miss Mac, 265 m, 12m; Mist Maid, 31m, 165 m: Shirley, 43m, 20m. The finishing time limit will be sunset. WARD CUP CONTEST From Our Own Correspondent TAURANGA, Thursday. The first race for the Ward Cup for second-class yachts conducted by the Tauranga Y’acht and Power-Boat Club resulted in a win for Charm, with No Surrender second. Points for the cup are: —Charm, 5; No Surrender, 3.
