EVERSLIE LADIES’ GOLF
From Our Own Correspondent PAPAKURA, Today. Tiie EversK© Ladies' Golf Club held its annual meeting in the Premier Buildings, Papakura, on Wednesday evening, Mrs. R. H. Lever presiding over a good attendance. The secretary’s report was read by Miss M. Smith and reported a successful season. During September a successful open day was held, when several players reduced their handicaps. Six women representing the club took part in tho Franklin championships, although they did not win any trophies they had the Honour of being runnersup for the banner which was won by Waiuku. Inter-club matches were played against Papakura, Pukekohe, Otahuhu and Akarana. Owing to heavy expenditure during the season the financial position was not quite as good as last year. The following officers were elected: Patron, Mrs. Balfour Irvine; president, Mrs. Agmen Smith; vice-presi-dents, Airs. G. W. Meald and Mrs. C. S. Beechey: captain, Mrs. E. Busing; vice-captain, fcliss Agmen Smith; secretary and treasurer, Miss F. Callis; committee, Mrs. C. Wardell, Mrs. V. Goddard, Mrs. R. 11. Lever, Miss M. Smith, Miss A.- Smith, Miss F. Callis and Mrs. E. Busing.
