MR. TAVERNER EXPRESSES CONFIDENCE OPINION OF PRIME MINISTER Press Association DUNEDIN, Today. Speaking at a social gathering last evening, the Hon. W. E. Taverner, Minister of Railways, said most of the legislation for the coming session was now in preparation, and the Prime Minister would shortly announce it. The United Party was as united as ever. He trusted that Sir Joseph Ward’s health would soon enable him to take a more active part in the government of the country. His 12 months' association with Sir Joseph had confirmed his high opinion and affection for the Prime Minister. A motion of confidence in the Government and a hope for Sir Joseph Ward’s speedy restoration to health was carried unanimously.
