FRENCH POLICE REPRISALS ON HUNGER-STRIKER WOMAN AWAITS TRIAL PARIS, Thursday. Madame Martha Hanau, who is awaiting trial in prison in connection v/ith alleged frauds in the conduct of the Gazette du Franc and allied investment concerns in December, 1928. was forcibly fed after a hunger strike of 20 days. She was held down by eight hospital attendants, and fed. A tube smeared with vaseline was passed down the woman’s throat. By this means liquid rood was introduced by the prison doctors at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
