CLAY-BIRD SHOOTING
Members of the Auckland Gun Club held a successful series of matches at the club's grounds. Pakuranga, yesterday. The conditions were ideal for shooting and some good performances were put up. Mr. L Peterson, a first-year shooter, won the Delieh Trophy with the possible of 15. off the limit mark of 11 yards. Starting yesterday off 14yds he divided two matches and won the third outright, finishing on 17yds. The first match was divided by F Keene (15yds). L. Peterson (14) and E. N. Barratt (13), with the possible of S. The same three shooters divided the next match with the possible of 9. each shooter going buck a yard. The next match was won outright by L. Peterson • 16yds). with the possible of 9, 11. IT. Bartley, 8, being second. The final match of 9 birds was divided by W. K. Grant (13vds) and D. Hyauiason (14). with 7 each. The next shoot will bo held on March 29. when Mr. E. P. Mitchelson’s
