SCHOOL SPORTS

Contrary to tbs usual custom of holding a picnic for the pupils attending the Takapuna anti Milford Schools, the committee has this year decided to vary the programme and hold a sports meeting and Parent's Day in the school grounds on March 22. The reason for the departure from the usual custom lies in the fact that the committee has spent several hundred pounds during the last few years :n developing and equipping the playing areas of the school, and it is hoped that by having the sports in the school grounds. greater personal interest among the parents will be aroused. A full sports programme, including the various school championships will he contested and the first event :s timed for 1.30 p.m.
