TRAMPLED TO DEATH
SEVENTY-SIX KILLED IN CINEMA PANIC MANCHURIAN DISASTER United P.A.—By Telegraph—Copyright Received 9.5 a.m. KIRIN (Manchuria), Wed. A blaze in a cinema last evening caused a horrible stampede of the audience. Seventy-six persons were killed, and 100 injured. Twenty-seven are missing. The Chinese police engaged in rescue work were crashed by falling timbers. Kirin is an important city in Manchuria, and has a population of over 100,000.
