SOLICITOR OFF ROLLS
MONEY NOT ACCOUNTED FOR Press Association ' WELLINGTON, Tuesday. The Court of Appeal this afterrfoon made an order striking George McDonald. of Invercargill, solicitor, off the rolls of practising solicitors of the Dominion. It was stated by Air. F. von llaast. counsel for the New Zealand Law Society, that affidavits showed that there were two charges against McDonald: (1) That he received £l2 17s Ed from Peter Mcßae, of Invercargill, who was defendant in an action, with instructions to pay the money to plaintiffs, and he had failed to do so, and had consented to judgment being entered against Mcßae; (2) that he had collected £ 440 16s 4d on behalf of Gertrude Stubbs, a nurse, of Invercargill. and had accounted to her for only £IOO. Air. Hogg, of Invercargill, who appeared for McDonald, consented to the order being made, which was done, with costs against AlcDonald.
