CASHING A CHEQUE

ATTEMPTED FRAUD ALLEGED Pleading not guilty to a charge of fraud at the Police Court this morning Donald Alexander, a seaman, aged 24, was remanded at the request of Chief-Detective Hammond until Monday. Alexander was charged with attempting to obtain a pair of shoes and £l6 in cash from a City firm on March 18 by means of a valueless cheque. He pleaded not guilty.
