MYSTERIOUS SHOOTING

TRAGEDY AT PALMERSTON MURDER OR SUICIDE? From Our Own Correspondent PALMERSTON N., Today. The police are continuing their investigations into the mysterious death of Mr. Walter Edward Price, a builder of Palmerston North, who was found shot in his bedroom on the morning of February 5, but, when questioned, Senior-Sergeant Quirke repeated that it could not yet be decided whether the facts known showed murder or suicide.

No date has yet been fixed for the reopening of the adjourned inquest, but the senior-sergeant said that the arguments as to the cause of the tragedy would probably be settled at the Inquest. Careful searches have been made, but no trace of the gun which shot Mr. Price has been found. The recovery of the weapon would probably solve the mystery.
