Mr. and Mrs. Norman Ross have I returned to Hamilton from a motor ; tour of the Island. Miss Nancy Renshaw, of Tauranga, ! the guest of Miss McNaughton, of Morrinsville- * * * Miss Q. Newlands has returned to Hamilton from a holiday in Waihi. Mr. and Mrs. E. Vealc, of Cambridge, have left for Tauranga, where they intend to make their home. Mr. and Mrs. U. D. Dallimore have returned to Cambridge from a month’s holiday at the Barrier, Mrs. A, Going, jun., of Hamilton, left by the Tamaroa for a visit to Scotland. * * * Miss Dorothy Neely, daughter of Mr. ancL- Mrs. R. .X. Neely, of Cambridge, was one of three to pass her dental examination as dental nurse with honours.
Mrs. Tod has returned to Cambridge 1 from a visit to Christchurch. « » * Mr. and Mrs. W. Maberley left Cami bridge on Thursday for a motor tour of the North Island. Mrs. J. M. Jones. J-P.. of Hamilton, has left for a Wellington. Mrs. Harry Matthews, of Hamilton, has left for a visit to Wellington. Miss Ruth Hawken, of Mokoia, Taranaki, is the guest of Mrs. W I j Oliver, Matangi. Mrs. Carr Rollett. of Hamilton, is at present in the Manawatu.
WAIN G-ANU WOMEN'S INSTITUTE On Wednesday the Wainganu Women's Institute held its monthly meeting at the home of Mrs. McGuireMrs. Picken was in the chair, and the business of the afternoon was a discussion on the remits to be submitted to the biannial council meeting of rite A.P.F.W.I. this month. ! Later it was decided to open a benevolent fund to help any deserving I cause and to raise funds by different entertainments during the winter. An i excellent paper written by Miss ! Christmas on Women’s Institutes, was read by Miss Snodgrass. An amusing competition and afternoon tea ended j an interesting afternoon.
