FAREWELL PARTIES
BRIDGE EVENING At their home in Leamington on Wednesday evening, Mr. and Mrs W, Garland gave a delightful party to b d farewell to Mr. and Mrs. E Veals before their departure for Tauranga. Flag bridge was played in the draw, ins-room, which was most attractively decorated with sweet-peas and cosmos. Supper was served in the dining-room] where pale pink dahlias were used as decorations. The winners of the flag bridge were Miss Brann, Miss J. Cleoiow. and ME. Vaile. To receive her guests Mrs. w. Garland wore a handsome frock of deep orange beaded georgette, Mrs. Garland snr., gowned in black silk; Mrs. E. Veale frocked in black georgette; Garland wore a flowered delphinium blue crepe de chine. Among -those present were: Mrs Collis. Airs. E. Nixon. Mrs. Xeely Mrs’ Nelson, Airs. Munro. Airs. Latimer Airs' AA'. ilorne. Mrs. A\\ Anderson ’ Airs' Freeman. Mrs. Hardy. Mrs. Poseniskie Aliss Brown, Miss J. Clemow. * AFTERNOON PARTY t>n Tuesday afternoon Mr. and Aim -T. Hooker entertained Mr. and Mrs. £ Veale at their home. A very hapm : time was spent in games, music after noon tea and competitions.
