GREAT NON-STOP FLIGHT
DUNEDIN CONGRATULATIONS From Our Own Correspondent DUNEDIN, Today. The Mayor of Dunedin, Mr. R. S. Black yesterday expressed his congratulations to Captain J. D. Hewett on his successful non-stop flight from Dunedin to Auckland. “I hope it will not be long,” said Mr. Black, “before there is a regular airmail service between the various centres of New Zealand. Then business letters for Dunedin Arms which were brought by ships calling first at Auckland or Wellington would reach their destinations much more quickly and thus bring Dunedin into closer touch with the outside world.”
