LAUNCH DISQUALIFIED

RACE PLACINGS REVERSED Charges of inconsistent running of the launch Elma in a harbour race for launches held in the Manukati on Saturday week were made to the general committee of the Manukau Yacht Club last evening. A lengthy discussion concerning the placings followed, the committee finally referring the subject to the standing sailing committee, which, after a keen debate, held the Elma to be disqualified from the race. The Rainbow was then awarded first place, this launch having secured second in the event. Surprise and lolanthania were awarded second and third places respectively.
