AUSTRALIAN TEAM PLAYS FOUR WICKETS FOR 419 HOBART, Sunday. The Australian cricketers who are to tour England continued their second match against Tasmania yesterday at Hobart. When stumps were drawn on .Friday the local eleven had been dismissed in their first innings for 131 runs and the tourists had scored 178 for the loss of one wicket. Ponsford (S 3) and Bradman (70) were the not out men. These two batsmen continued the_ir partnership, which yielded 296. Ponsford scored 166, his total including 13 fours. He batted 176 minutes. Bradman made 139, with 16 fours, in 153 minutes. Off five overs the two batsmen scored 62 runs. The Australians declared their innings closed with the score at 419 for four wickets. Tasmania had scored 174 for five wickets in their second venture when stumps were drawn. Nash made 93 in 120 minutes, his total including 15 fours. Details of the scores are: AUSTRALIA First Innings.
