LANDOWNERS FINED
WEEDS ON PROPERTIES From Our Own Corrcsjiondcnt OTAHUHU, Today. A number of landowners in Manukau County appeared before Mr. F. If. Levien. S.M., in the Otahuhu Court this morning, charged with failing to clear their properties of blackberry and thistles. D. Clayton, Manurewa, Coppins Bros., Alfriston. Frank Colburn, Robert H. Coxhead, Gummie Bus., Mangere, Charles A. R. Holmes, W iri. IT. C. Kingston, Brookby, R. Lord, R. Grear, Papa toe toe, were fined 10 s and ordered to pay costs. R. and W. Hellaby were fined £1 and costs. W. L. Bayliss, Thomas Cairnes, K. R. Kelsey and J. W. Plant, Brookby, Sylvia* Taylor, Archibald Wallace and J. Wilkinson were convicted and ordered to pay costs. A charge against Gertrude M. Allbrighton was dismissed.
