A CHAIN LETTER
Sir, — The letter referred to in your paper was not intended as an official communication in any respect. The slogan “Cross grossings Cautiously” has reached these shores through many of the world’s most prominent people. It is a slogan which has caught on with thousands in New Zealand, and a reminder in a country like this where there are so many level crossings, is well worth while. As for the bad luck part of the story which usually accompanies chain letters no individual would attach any importance to it. J. FOLEY.
