KOSMOS LOSES 70 MEN

WELLINGTON ATTRACTS WHALERS PROHIBITED IMMIGRANTS Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. When the whaling factory ship Kosmos was ready to leave at 1 p.m. on Friday for Sanderfjord, via Panama and Curacao, it was found that 70 men, nearly a quarter of the crew, were missing. The result was that the vessel could not sail. At 1.30 p.m. customs authorities cleared the wharf, but still there was no sign of the missing men, all of whom are classed as prohibited immigrants. The Kosmos went out into the stream until such time as the 70 men could be found.
