William Knox, aged 27, a farm hand, at Waitakaruru. was kicked to death by a trotting horse which he was driving near Kopu yesterday evening. Knox had haruesesd up a four-year-old trotter, the property of Mr. Sam Woodroofe. and was taking it out for exercise, when the horse bolted. Knox was thrown forward on to the horse's heels, which inflicted terrible injuries on bis head and face. He was admitted to the hospital, and died this morning.
