“THE COCK-EYED WORLD” “The Cock-eyed World” is the special I attraction now being presented. to j packed houses at the Plaza Theatre, j The production was made by Fox j Movietone as a talkie sequel to “What | Price Glory?” Victor McLaglen and | Edmund Lowe again take the respective parts of Sergeants Flagg and Quirt. The story deals with the amorous adventures of the pair of marines in Russia, Coney Island, and in the tropics, their boisterous quarrelling introducing a great deal of comedy. Lily Damita, Jean Bary, and Leila Karnelly have prominent parts in the assisting cast. Several fine songs are included, one which has proved popular being a marching tune. “So Long.' The main feature is supported by several short talkies. Charlie Chaplin's “City Lights., now In production, is a silent film, that will be synchronised with music but that will not contain any speech. Virginia Cherrill is Mr. Chaplin’s leading lady, and Harry Myers has an important role in support of the star.
