Fisher 2, registered goals. AVhangarei 17. Waimai B S.—AVhangarei, with bright play, and correct hitting accounted for "Waimai B, but had the best of the handicap by 12 to 6 points. For the winners * Hous-‘ scored three times and C. Finlayson twice, and for the losers AVilson reeistered two goals. All E. Aislabie was the umpire. AA'aihou A 23. Cambridge C 19.—The handicap conceded Waihou 1 point and Cambridge IS. The firstnamed with a big task in front set out to score, and did so with such good effect, that the players piled up 22 points in six chukkas, the scorers being A. Wight 3. A. McNicol S, T. Hines 7, and Burke 4. For the losers G. Rose scored. The final score, including handicaps wa« 23 to 19.. Air. A. Yale, of Hamilton, acted a« referee. Alatangi A 14. Cambridge 1> B.—ln the handicap Cambridge had 7 points, while Alatangi A was listed at one behind. The players were V. Chitty. R. Ranstead, R. Townsend and J. Shaw for Alatangi. and E. Brown, O. Vesper, G. Speak and N. Garland for Cambridge. Alatangi had considerable leeway to make up, but with decidedhfit ponies and players with determiration it emerged victorious by 14 to 5. The, game was the best of the day. and was loudly applauded throughout. Long hits and brilliant following up characterised the plfiy. Alatangi’s scorers were Townsend and Shaw 5 each, Ranstead 4, and Chitty 1. For the losers Garland scored. Air. Yale controlled the game.
