THAMES GIRLS’ CLUB
DR. BUCKLEY TURKINGTON ADDRESSES MEETING A very enjoyable afternoon was spent in the Druids’ Hall. Newton, on Tuesday, when the members of the Thames Girls’ Club held a reunion. The president. Airs. P. AlcGregor, was in the chair. Dr. Buckley-Turkington gave a most impressive address on the obstetrical appeal to women of New Zealand. Items were given by Airs. Wright, Aliss Laura Walker, Alisses Porteus, Mubber, and Bonnie Stubbing.
A competition was won by Aliss Phoebe Hurling.
The meeting concluded with afternoon tea and the singing of ‘A.uld Lang Syne.”
