GRAMMAR OLD GIRLS

FIRST GATHERING FOR YEAR The first gathering for the year of the members, of the Auckland Grammar School Old Girls’ Association took place at the school on Tuesday, March 11. A cricket match, old girls v. 1929 old girls, was played and resulted in a draw. Tea was served in the cookery room. The association was delighted to welcome back Miss Picken, former headmistress of the school, who has just returned from abroad. The opportunity was taken of bidding au revoir to Miss F. McDonald, president of the Old Girls’ Association, who is leaving for Australia on March 21. An evening programme arranged by the Dramatic Club of the association was very much appreciated. The evening concluded with the singing of the school song and the Xational Anthem.
