She wore a veil of Spanish net with Spanish lace embroidered in silver arranged softly round the face, and kept in position on the head with a coronet of orange blossom. She carried a shower bouquet of clematis, lilies and trailing ferns with silver ribbons. She was attended by her sisters, Aliss Hazel and Aliss Alyrtle Flay, as bridesmaids. The first bridesmaid wore an ankle-length frock of foxglove pink georgette, with a prettily tucked Victorian bodice and a flared skirt with flowing godets appliqued in silver lovers’ knots, and wore a silver crinoline picture hat trimmed to tone. : Her bouquet was of mauve asters and asparagus fern.
