Froth Our Own Correspondent THAMES, Today. Dairying in the Mercury Bay disj trict is gradually growing, and some of | the returns for butter-fat bear this out. I In 1929 the Mercury Bay Co-operative ; Dairy Company received 41,0211 b of | butter-fat for February, and this has I increased to 60.4151 b for the same ! month this season. The largest indi- : victual cheque was £165 16s, while | seven others ranged from £IOO to I £l4l. ! The increase in the cream supply i makes it necessary for the factory to 1 increase the churn and pasteurisation ! department for next season. The output up to the present is 178 tons of butter, which is over 26 tons more than last year.
