FIXING TRADE AGREEMENT OTTAWA, Tuesday. The debate on the New Zealand trade agreement was continued in the Dominion House of Commons today. The Minister of Trade and Commerce, Mr Malcolm, gave exhaustive information about the progress of trade between Canada and the Antipodes and its effect on Canada. He said statistics showed an increase in the consumption of butter in Canada. The Canadian farmer preferred to sell milk for a purpose other than the manufacture of butter. Consequently Canada, turned to New Zealand to supply the deficiency.
