BYRD’S SPEECH HEARD
GOOD RADIO RECEPTION IN NEW YORK 'OCHS’S VOICE FADES NEW YORK. Tuesday. Rear-Admiral Richard Byrd’s twoway wireless conversations from Dunedin through Sydney were heard perfectly throughout various parts o: the United States. Connection was quickly established and the voices of the speakers were clearly audible, particularly the explorer’s congratulaiibhs to Ml-. A. S. Ochs, of the New York “Times,” on the occasion of his birthday. A message from Berlin says every German station rebroadcast the conversations. Mr. Ochs’s voice faded toward the end.
