BIRKENHEAD SCHOOL
MEETING OF COMMITTEE The Birkenhead School Committee held its monthly meeting last evening, the chairman. Mr. J. Macdonald, presiding. The headmaster, Mr. A .G. Menzies,’ reported that the roll stands at 334, an increase of seven, and the j average attendance was 31S. Mr. R. Mason. M.P. for the district, wrote that he had been advised by the Minister of Education that the nurse for the Birkenhead dental clinic would be available toward the end of March. Mr. D. W. Dunlop, secretary of the Auckland Education Board, wrote ini forming the committee that a tender j for the erection of the dental clinic at I the Birkenhead school had been accepted.
