MYSTERY MEDIUM AMAZES HOME SCIENTISTS FRAUD IMPOSSIBLE LONDON, Saturday. Famous scientists confess that they are mystified by phenomena produced at seances held with Rudi Schneider, an amazing Austrian medium, as the central figure. Schneider is 22 years old. He is a motor mechanic by occupation. He created successive sensations in his native land by apparently calling up at will the auras of departed relatives and friends and of noted dead. The man was brought to England for an investigation of his powers by leading scientists whose report is to be issued shortly. Strange to say Schneider is indifferent to what are regarded as his remarkable powers. He desires to return to his ordinary occupation. Professor Pollard, one of the investigators, says he cannot account for the apparent phenomena. -He witnessed 21 seances attended by 100 people. Dr- Eugene Osty, of Paris, says Schneider was practically manacled so that he could not move, yet he was able to produce phenomena in a manner which disposed of any suggestion of fraud.
