WARREN CUP COMPETITION

A team from the Kumeu Tennis Club visited the Woodjiill Tennis Club yesterday afternoon to play in the final round of the Warren Cup competition. The Woodhill team won by eight sets to five. Meeson beat Misses Shuttleworth and Barnes, 7—4: Airs. George McDonald and Airs. Gordon AlcDonald beat Aliss Grant and Aliss Bell. 7—3. Alen’s' doubles: Holst and Sandin beat Kinlock and Cates, 9 —6; AlcDonald and Pym beat Aledland and Smith. 9—3: A. L. Phillips and Jackson lost to Smith, jun., and Barnes, 6 —9. Combined doubles: Phillips and Airs. George AlcDonald beat Smith, jun., and Aliss Grant. 7—2: Jackson and Airs. Gordon AlcDonald lost to Barnes and Aliss Bell. 6 —7.
