EISHOP SELWYN MEMORIES

FINE HISTORICAL RECORD A unique historical record of the development of the Church of England in the Auckland Province was presented to Archbishop Averill last evening. The gift took the form of a set of beautifully executed plates of 16 churches, the bishop’s palace, two houses, and the old mission store at Kerikeri. which were all erected by Bishop Selwyn. The plates were the work of two Auckland architectural students, Messrs. A. J. Sedcole and C. Irwin Crookes, who spent three months of their last vacation visiting these old structures.
