BIRKENHEAD WEDDING
BRIDE CARRIES SHEAF OF TUBER ROSES WATSON—ORGAN At the Presbyterian Church, Birkenhead, on Wednesday evening, the marriage took place of Thelma Joyce, eldest daughter of Air. and Aire. R. Organ, Tennyson Street, Birkenhead, and Charles Liston, only son of Air. i and Airs. H. Watson, Glenflcld Road, : ; Birkenhead. The Rev. W. Gilmour, performed the ceremony, and Aliss AlcCullougli pre- j sided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by j her father, wore a dainty frock of ivory • georgette and lace with ankle length j skirt. Her hand embroidered tulle veil was caught to the head with clusters of orange blossoms, and she t carried a sheaf of tuber roses. Airs. C. A. Gouk attended the bride | as matron of honour, wearing a I duchess-blue georgette frock finished ! with a large pink taffeta bow at the j waist. Her headdress was a wreath j of flowers and she carried a sheaf of fern. The two little flower girls, Alarcia and Norma Organ, sisters of the bride wore pretty shell-pink crepe de chine j frocks with tulle headdresses and their • posies were in shades of pink and blue. Air. Henry Wilkins was best man. ‘ After the ceremony a reception was held in the Victoria Hall, Birkenhead, which had been decorated in shades j of pink and blue. To receive bvi* . guests, Airs. Organ chose a gown oL fawn crepe de chine, with a hat to j tone. Her bouquet was of dahlias in j autumn tints. Airs. Watson wore a black satin crepe frock, relieved 'with | touches of fawn georgette. Her nat , and shawl were of the same shades, and she carried a bouquet of deep yel- | low flowers.'
