RAINBOW WEDDING

PRETTY CEREMONY AT ST. MATTHEW’S A BOYD—SKINNER A dainty rainbow wedding was celebrated on Wednesday afternoon, at St. Matthew’s Church, when Irene Josephine, eldest daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Albert Skinner, of Mount Roskill, was married to Robert Neil, fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Boyd, of Richmond Avenue, Grey Lynn. Canon Grant Cowen conducted the service. The bride entered the church with her father, wearing a frock of silver and white georget#, with orange blossom sprays at the shoulder and waist, and her georgette overskirt fell in graceful points. The oval veil which formed the train was of white tulle embroidered with silk and was worn over a coronet of orange blossoms with clusters at each side. Her bouquet was of white asters, lilies and fern. Aliss Victoria Peterson and Miss Raynor Hanlon attended the bride, wearing georgette frocks, with uneven hemline, the former in shell pink and the latter in lemon. Their tulle headdresses were in tones.to match their frocks and they carried bouquets of autumn flowers. Little Athenia Skinner, sister of the bride, was flower girl and wore a pastel blue crepe chine frock. Alas ter Albert Skinner was page boy and was dressed in black velvet trousers, with a white crepe de chine Russian jumper.' Air. George Boyd attended as best man and Mr. Allan Cuncliffe was groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held at Nairn’s Tearooms, where Mrs. Skinner received her guests in a frock of blue figured georgette. The bride’s grandmother wore a navy blue crepe de chine frock, with reliefs of biscuit georgette and hat to tone.

ENGAGEMENTS The engagement is announced of Elva Ada, elder daughter of Air. and Airs. \V. J. Fraser, of Kelmarna Avenue, Herne Bay, to Allan Hugh, third son of the late Mr. and Airs. R. J. Bailey, of Ruawai, Northern Wairoa. The engagement is announced of Olive May, eldest daughter of the late Air. H. E. Peterson, of Alas ter ton, Wairarapa, and of Airs. T. H. Wilmshurst, of Drumrossie, Cambridge Road, Hamilton East, to Leonard Sydney, only son of Air. and Airs. L. S. Knell, of Herne Bay, Auckland.
