COUNTER TO MOTION OF CENSURE UNEMPLOYMENT POSITION LONDON, Wednesday. I In the House of Commons the , Labour Party has tabled an amendment to the Conservative motion or j censure on the Government, with | regard to unemployment. The amendment deplores the trade depression and increased unemploy ment, which are clue to the previous Government’s policy, and welcomes the Government’s measures to assist trade and restore prosperity. It ex presses confidence that the necessary action would be undertaken rapidly and vigorously. The amendment also expresses the opinion that Britain’s fiscal policy should be framed in the interests of j the whole people, and not to the sec* j tional advantage of particular groups ; of manufacturers.
